The Author

Caz Goodwin is a Melbourne-based author who has also lived in Brisbane, Auckland and Singapore. Her books and stories for children have been published internationally. She heads theSociety of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators(SCBWI) in Victoria and is on theYoung Australian Best Book Awards (YABBA) council.

Cazs first book,Curse of the Viking Sword, won Singapores First Time Writers Award. Her second book,Dragons Egg, won a Singapore Arts Councils Beyond Words Award for picture books. The Illustrator

Shaney Hyde is an early childhood educator and illustrator living on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. Since emerging into book illustration,Shaney feels lucky to share her process with the children that she teaches each day.
