Challenging Students to Flip Over, Think Bolder
Suitable for students aged 16 and above – from higher-ability upper secondary learners to junior college students and beyond – iCritic is led by a former English Head of Department, designed to support success in A-Level General Paper, IB, and other pre-university English assessments.
At this level, students are not just writing essays, they are learning to engage with the larger society. iCritic blends thought-provoking essay-articles with academic writing to challenge advanced learners, sharpening their ability to analyse, argue, and respond thoughtfully to complex issues.
Every article is anchored by a visual stimulus which aids memory of complex ideas. These articles are also accompanied by digital notes and supplementary resources to scaffold essay responses. With videos, infographics, and metacognitive prompts woven throughout, students are guided to think deeply, write incisively, and build the perspectives needed for success at the next stage of their learning journey.
